hi,

my name is jana coorevits.

i am a visual artist working primarily with photo and film. my online portfolio shows an overview of selected works.

currently my work is on view during
our language, our history, our dancing, our loving, our work, our lives, a group show initiated by jietske vermoortele and hosted by het entrepot and de tank in bruges.

during antwerp art weekend ursula collective is part of close encounters. chapter 1.
for the occasion we reached back once again to a text by ursula k. le guin: “the ones who walk away from omelas”. it tells the story of a seemingly perfect city, omelas, where the happiness of the people is built on the suffering of a single child. the story raises questions about the ethical foundations of a utopian society and the individual’s responsibility in the face of collective well-being. during the exhibition i will show
revolutionary letters - a project i made in collaboration with charlotte van den broeck and magali coremans - in conversation with works by meltse van coillie, lydia hannah debeer, ans mertens, alex schuurbiers, isabelle tollenaere and kathy vanhout.

the exhibition will be on view from 16th to 19th of may at out of sight

if you want to contact me you can do so via
fred & ferry gallery or by sending me an e-mail.

thank you for visiting my website. enjoy the rest of your day or night.

jana
